Darin Parker, B.S.Ed., C.P.T., has been teaching music, performing, conducting choirs, tuning pianos and music directing musical productions since 1993.
Aside from teaching music lessons from his studio and tuning pianos in the Kansas City Metro, he also offers lessons via Zoom.
Darin is a Grammy Award winning singer who may be seen performing around the Kansas City area in various theatres. He has previously been hired to perform at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Maestro Charles DuTuoit of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra for the Robert Shaw Choral Workshop.
Darin is currently a member of New York Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA), National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), American Choral Director's Association (ACDA) and a proud Eagle Scout who has achieved full certification in Somatic Voicework-The LoVetri Method Levels I, II and III.
Some of his interests include swimming, sushi, sailing, biking, searching for the perfect balance of hops and malt, camping and exercising with his pup, Giuseppe.

Thank you for visiting my music studio website. This September, my studio will be celebrating its 31st year of business. I enjoy making pianos happy throughout the Kansas City Metro and beyond. Piano tunings and repairs have taken me from California to New York City and many other great places between. If your piano is in need of a tuning, pitch raise, repair or detailing… I hope you’ll choose me to be your piano technician,
Over the years, it has also been gratifying to see many of my private music students achieving such wonderful things. Whether performing on Broadway in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, on a National Tour or even just getting accepted to their perfect music conservatory program; I am proud of every one of them for seeing their goals through while continuing to challenge themselves both professionally and spiritually. It is such a privilege to be a part of their stories and share in their joys.
Just a bit about my professional achievements...currently, I am the only teacher in Kansas to have the honor of being accepted into the New York Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA). I have attended the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia to become certified in all three levels of Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method. This method encourages a healthful approach to singing CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) styles. These styles include but are not limited to Musical Theatre, Blues, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Country. It has been and continues to be a rewarding experience to share this knowledge with my studio members.
In a trying world with so much exposure to negative societal situations, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to provide a positive learning environment for each of my students. I feel fortunate to make music with them every day and to explore different facets of the human spirit.
